At Trees4Scotland we have several charities that we support – all adopted for personal reasons. We support, The Finola Trust, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Aberlour Children’s Trust, Down’s Syndrome Scotland and Marie Curie Hospice Edinburgh.
We have teamed up with the various charities allowing you to plant trees and support the charity at the same time – for each tree purchased with a specific code we donate 25% back to the charity in question.
This month we would like to introduce you to the great work being done at Marie Curie Hospice Edinburgh. Their fundraiser is Comrie’s own Fiona Bushby so she also has a pretty intimate knowledge of Teaghlach Wood and its surroundings.
In the tough economic times that we find ourselves in the Trees4Charities initiative will hopefully be an innovative way of raising some funds and awareness of the great work that is being done.
Fiona and her colleagues at Marie Curie Hospice Edinburgh provide a vibrant, homely environment offering a range of different activities and services to help people with terminal cancer and other life-limiting illnesses achieve the best possible quality of life. Care is free to patients and families. You can find out more about what we are doing to support Marie Curie here: www.trees4scotland.com/mariecurie
There are many ways in addition to planting trees that you can provide some support including the Marie Curie Inca Trail Challenge (please see the website above for more details).
Best of all though you just need to plant some trees with us an include the promo code MARIECURIE
