I hope that you are all well. Teaghlach Wood is now fully in the grips of winter. There have been several heavy early snowfalls and the temperatures have dipped as low as minus 20!!

U.S. event falls victim to the Scottish weather

The Scottish delegation heading for Knoxville, Tennessee to launch an initiative called Trees4TwoNations, which is aimed at linking cities in the United States with those of Scotland, has been unable to travel due to the weather.

The guest of honour at the event was due to be Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment, Richard Lochhead, but he has been left stranded in Inverness. One of the originators of the concept, Angus Crabbie of Trees4Scotland, was also unable to travel due to the closure of Edinburgh Airport. Read more...

Chivas Brothers plant another 500

Chivas continue their support and their total now comes to 1,100 trees!! This time they are planting trees for their staff this Christmas.
