Where would we be without a bit of glamour at Teaghlach Wood! Once again we have some terrific support from the Miss Earth in the form of the new Miss Scotland, Sarah Finlay. Sarah was so taken with the work we are doing that she has also decided to become an ambassador for Trees4Scotland – and has recently been promoting us at the Miss Earth finals in the Philippines!
Sarah kindly gave up her time to spend a day with us at Teaghlach Wood as you can see in some of the gallery photographs she added a much needed touch of glamour to proceedings – and a professional edge to modelling some of our OAK honours plaques. In the photos you might be able to pick out plaques from Famous Grouse, Graham + Sibbald and Chivas Brothers. They are some of the many companies who are demonstrating their environmental commitments by planting trees with us in Scotland. Sarah comments, “When I visited Teaghlach Wood I was quite taken aback by the beauty of the place and immediately wanted to do more to help. Angus suggested that I become a Trees4Scotland ambassador and I jumped at the chance. I have now been actively promoting Teaghlach Wood while at the Miss Earth Grand Final in the Philippines. Unfortunately I didn’t win but it was a great experience none the less!”
