The Whispering Wood
The Whispering Wood plays host to trees that have been planted for a variety of amazing reasons including:
Planting a tree is a great way to mark an occasion or to remember a loved one. The trees we plant are all native varieties such as oak, birch and rowan – and they will be there for many generations to come!
The Whispering Wood forms a part of the much larger Teaghlach Wood planting project but is a very different and important part. Each tree that is planted in The Whispering Wood is marked by a plinth with your own special message engraved on it.
The woodland is kept strimmered so that visitors can enjoy the experience of walking amongst the trees and reading the messages that give the Whispering Wood its unique nature.
As it is expanding the woodland is soon to grow up the newly created Teaghlach Trail allowing visitors the chance to get a better look at the wider woodland and enjoy the stunning scenery.
What do you get?
A native tree planted on your behalf
Your message engraved onto a plaque to mark your tree
A tree planting certificate
A commemorative booklet
The above can form a fantastic gift and this year lots were planted for Mother’s day, Valentines and Father’s Day as well as for the more traditional reasons.
