It has long been our aim to encourage those visiting Scotland to ‘tread lightly’ and better still to leave a positive footprint by planting some trees.

If we could encourage even a small percentage of visitors to Scotland to plant one tree each then we would be taking a massive step forward in regards to achieving the climate change targets set for 2050.

Part of the government strategy is to plant 10,000 hectares of trees per year in order to sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and reduce our country’s carbon footprint. As we are currently chopping down more trees than we are planting we really do need the help of those who appreciate Scotland most!
